The Baptism of Isaac Scott Foerster

P: In holy baptism, God frees us from sin and death by
uniting us to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Through water and the Holy Spirit we are reborn children
of God, we are made members of the church, the body of Christ, and we are commissioned for Christ’s ministry of justice and peace.
Do you bring your child to this Sacrament to join us in this life of grace?

We present Isaac, for baptism. We will assume the gifts and responsibilities with which we have been entrusted: We will live with him among God’s faithful people. We will bring Isaac to the Word of God and the Holy Supper. We will nurture him in faith and prayer, so that all of us may learn to trust God, proclaim Christ through word and deed, care for others and the world God made, and work for justice and peace among all people.
P: People of God, do you promise to support this individual and pray for him in their new life in Christ?

L: I ask you to reject sin, profess your faith in Christ, and confess the faith of the church. Do you renounce the devil and all the forces that defy God?

Your grandparents got us started get pictures with you, the center of attention, seems everyone wanted to hold or be with you. The guys kind of shied away from holding you.
Your godfather, Dave, did a great job holding you!
Even, I got to hold you, Isaac with my wife, Sheryl. We were delighted to be part of God's plan in your life!
I hope you with always know love in your life. The love God has for you with your 're-birth' into his family. The great love your family has for you as you start your adventure of life.
